I hear crickets chirping on my blog.
Sorry it's been 6 whole days!
Honestly though, I haven't been up to a whole ton of things lately. After that rigorous travel schedule during the last month I was ready to just stay here and not have to navigate too many unknown waters for a while.
Plus it was Thanksgiving on Thursday and if I were back home I would have been doing exactly this. Sittng around and eating, and probably laughing at my family. So, in a way, I'm just celebrating Thanksgiving from abroad. :) Or justifying my laziness, solid.
I did celebrate Thanksgiving by eating pumpkin from the can, with a spoon, it was amazing. Just plain pumpkin, a little cream cheese, a half scoop of vanilla protein powder, and a TON of cinnamon, whip it all up with a fork and stick it in the fridge for a while. Take it out, eat it, and experience all of your pumpkin dreams coming true.
This is big news ----> I read a book. A whole book from start to finish. Not only that, it was a 420 page book that I read in TWO DAYS. Holy smokes, it was good! This is a significant accomplishment for me because I think the last full book I read was a Junie B. Jones book. I might have been in 3rd grade and had to take an Accellerated Reader test after to get enought points for the month.
I would highly recommend reading "The Innocent" by David Baldacci. Especially if you're into realistic mystery stories about murders, terrorist attacks, government organizations, bombings, police, lots of shooting, suspense and a weird twist of love mixed in there. YOU WILL LOVE THIS BOOK. I'm just not all about cheesy Hallmark channel, The Notebook love stories. Come'on, no one can relate to those books. Running down a dark alley being chased by a man with a rifle, though, that could happen in real life and I want to know how to escape it.
I feel like I don't even know myself anymore, recommending free reading books. I've really changed. Kidding!
I also hung out with my friends. :) We drew names for Secret Santa!
Here are some pictures of these really cool wire sculptures by the Bel-Air station.
I also made ranch flavored sweet potato fries. They were AMAZING and I'll probably make them again today.
On the To-Do-List.
Study. Yes, of course.
Clean the place up a little before grandma gets here on Tuesday. So she doesn't think I always live with clothes stacked up on top of my desk and hair & make up products scattered all over the place. Kidding - she knows me better than that.
Go ice skating! Place de Neuve - I think it's 2 francs to rent ice skates.
Walk around Old Town at night and check out the Christmas lights and decorations.
Watch Elf. I need Christmas spirit!
Here's one last picture of Geneva. It's been pretty grey and overcast, but not raining. I'm happy as long as it's not raining.
Cheers, lovely humans!
Oh, and a picture of my dog. Just because.
