I've been a major stalker lately. I love window shopping, especially in the high end luxury stores in Geneva. Paris gave me the Christmas fever and it's definitely not going away. Today, I walked past a few stores in Old Town with fabulous window decorations. Geneva has most of their city Christmas lights up, but they don't turn them on until December 1st. I'm counting down the days because it's going to be beautiful! December 1st is also the day my Grandma gets here, oh and my BFF Chelsea's birthday! :)
It is a little weird just totally skipping over Thanksgiving, which happens to be one of my favorite holidays. In rememberance of Thanksgiving, I finally broke down and bought my first can of pumpkin today. For 5.90 francs, which is pretty much equal to dollars, from the fancy Globus store that only sells specialty foods. I'm pretty sure Libby's Pumpkin costs like 99 cents at Fareway back home, but I just had to get my pumpkin fix.
I don't have a can opener so I had the lady at the cafe downstairs open it for me. She speaks no English at all, so I asked her in French. She returned the can and the look on her face was hilarious. We played a short game of charades and I got the hint that she was saying she HATES pumpkin. It's pretty much non-existent over here.
Anyways, I took photos of my favorite window displays and store set-ups so far. I'm guessing the store employees are probably annoyed by this since they can probably tell I'd have to sell multiple limbs of my body to afford one of their products. Oh well. I'm hoping to update this often with new pictures and decorations. :)
These first two photos are Christian Louboutin displays.
The rest of these are inside the Globus department store. I could spend hours in there. They have everything from makeup to clothes and shoes, specialty food and really neat Christmas gifts. Once again, way out of my price range though.
I am obsessed with the fact that all of their decorations are white and gold. I would love to have my house decorated with white and gold someday. It's so clean, but festive at the same time.
Patek Phillipe's window display was all made out of this shiny cardboard. The castle, train, bridge and all were made of cardboard.
So classy. Love the outside of the store.
Hermes.
The reindeer head move up and down and there were other parts of the display that moved as well.
