Beautiful Bike Ride

This afternoon was absolutely gorgeous. Sunny (even though all the photos I took make it seem cloudy) and the perfect temperature. I got done with my "leading yourself" class at 1, headed home, ate some lunch, and rented a bike for 4 hours. It's free if you bring the bike back within 4 hours. Can't beat that. I ended up riding on both sides of the lake, it was quite the 3.5 hour excursion.

The photo below looks cloudy and stormy, But if I would have done a 180, the opposite direction was perfectly clear. It was odd. If you look really close, you can see a rainbow near the bottom, right side of Jet d' Eau.

Riding along the river was fun. I discovered a path back in those trees. It was pretty rugged terrain on a bike, but there were tons of people walking and jogging back there.

So after riding about an hour and a half on one side of the lake, I came back towards Geneva and ventured up the other side of the lake. Man, I wish I would have gone this way first. I followed a bike trail through vineyards overlooking the lake. The homes were absolutely gorgeous also. I should have snapped more photos, but I was trying not to fall off my bike or crash. These hills were kind of killers too. I was definitely missing my trek, and the fact that her tires are about one third the width of the tires on this bike. Haha. Oh, and I was missing biking shorts. Majorly.

The sweetest little lady saw me taking photos and asked if she could take mine. So, I said sure! She was so precious and was trying so hard to speak English. I really just wanted to hug her as she grabbed my arm and said "good day to you", but I held off.

See Jet d' Eau way off in the distance!? I just got home about an hour ago, and am totally exhausted. It's only about 7:30 p.m. but I'm thinking it might be an early night for me.

Oh, and you guys should probably know about these awesome "pancakes" I made for breakfast this morning! Coconut flour and 3 eggs. That's all. They were so good. I would recommend throwing fruit or something in with them, or using some syrup, beacause they were pretty plain.

Cool. Now that you know what I ate for breakfast. Life is complete. Have a happy Friday and weekend. Good night from Geneva!
