yesterday was quite an adventurous day for me, so today i decided i should probably chill out and take it easy. stay on familiar turf, don't try to climb anything, or do anything that my overly adventurous self might think about trying. the fact that i woke up and every part of my body was sore may have been a hint.
on a much brighter side, i have made an amazing discovery...geneva has an ikea!!!! day made. game changer. YES! this morning was really cloudy, and super windy, so i wandered around ikea for about 3 hours. restricted myself from buying everything and walked out with a spatula, a pillow (the one tiny one they gave us really isn't doing the trick), and a dish scrubber. then, i treated me, myself, and i to a shrimp salad. i may be taking myself out to eat here often. good food for good prices. cookie samples in the frozen food section are pretty attractive also.
after spending the rest of the afternoon getting my life together, room organized and some other random things done, i went for a boat ride. boat ride is defined like this : there are two boats operated by geneva public transporation that cross the lake, jump on one of those, ride it back and forth a few times and then switch to the other boat if you want to mix it up a little. pretty sure i'm not the first to do it, and i'll probably continue to use their service for evening boat rides.
